The General Meetings on the 2nd Thursday begin with a Pot Luck Dinner at 6 p.m.

If you have not renewed your 2018 membership dues yet, you can now pay them on-line using your credit card. Everyone received their first  renewal notice to renew in early July.  So far, we have many members that have renewed.  To pay on-line and save .49 cents, go to   http://www.legion.org/renew and follow the instructions.

You can also check your personal account by going to  http://www.mylegion.org  and setting up an account. You will need your membership number.  Here you can check to see if your data is correct and if your dues are up to date.

If you know someone that belongs to the 110 post, send them to me and I'll have them transfer to our post. You will be doing them a favor if they have not renewed yet, because the 110 post charges $50.00 for membership. The 110 post is a collection of American Legion members that have not signed up with one of Washington's Legion posts. There is no benefit in belonging to the 110 post.

Likewise, if you know someone that is a veteran, I can also sign them up. They need a DD-214 unless they are on active duty. A veteran only needs to have served our country for one day to be eligible and it must have been during one of the war times. The legion has been open since 1990 for new memberships.

Remember that you need to have a 2018 card, else you will lose your accidental insurance coverage. This may not seem like much to lose, but accidents happen at the wrong time.
